Anas Tanko Mahmood

Anas Mahmood Tanko was born on 30th January 199*. He is an entrepreneur, technology enthusiast, administrator, and student leader with a strong passion for education, innovation, youth development, and community service. He began his educational journey at Faan Staff Academy, where he attended from 2003 to 2008 and obtained his First School Leaving Certificate (FSLC). He proceeded to Hayatu Iyawa College, Yola, from 2009 to 2014, where he obtained his Senior Secondary School Certificate (SSCE). In pursuit of higher education, Anas attended Adamawa State Polytechnic, Yola, from 2014 to 2016, where he obtained a Diploma in International Relations. He later continued his academic journey at Federal Polytechnic Mubi, where he studied Office Technology and Management and obtained his National Diploma (ND) from 2022 to 2024. In his continued pursuit of academic excellence and professional development, Anas is currently an HND II student of Office Technology and Management at Federal Polytechnic Mubi. He is also a 100-level student of Early Childhood Care and Education (ECCE) at the Federal College of Education, Yola. Professional Career Anas has built considerable experience in the information technology and business-services sector. His professional journey began at A.U.N Cyber Cafe, where he worked from 2010 to 2019. He also worked with Jamtongos Cyber Cafe from 2016 to 2017, gaining further practical experience in computer operations and digital services. From 2019 to 2024, he operated Sham’an Computer Services, providing a range of information technology and business support services. He is currently the Managing Director/Chief Executive Officer (MD/CEO) of Summit Gateway Limited, where he continues to pursue opportunities in technology, business services, digital solutions, and connectivity. He has also participated in VSAT/NIGCOMSAT initiatives in collaboration with NITDA, further strengthening his interest and experience in digital connectivity and information technology. Leadership and Community Service Anas Mahmood Tanko is passionate about youth leadership and community development. He currently serves as the President of NUADSS, where he is committed to representing students, promoting unity, strengthening student welfare, and creating opportunities for personal and professional development. Among his community-oriented achievements is his contribution toward securing JAMB scholarships on two occasions for students from Doubeli Ward, supporting access to higher education for young people in his community.
