Biography
Abdulhafiz Abdullateef is a Mechanical Engineering student of Modibbo Adama University (MAU), Yola, Adamawa State, with a strong passion for leadership, entrepreneurship, student development, and community service.
He was born on 1st February in Yola North, Adamawa State. He began his early education at Iqra Academy, Yola, before transferring to Modibbo Adama Nursery and Primary School, where he continued his primary education from 2005 to 2013. He proceeded to Hayatu Iyawa College, where he completed his secondary education from 2013 to 2019.
In 2019, Abdulhafiz gained admission into the prestigious Modibbo Adama University of Technology, Yola (MAUTECH), now known as Modibbo Adama University (MAU), to pursue a degree in Mechanical Engineering.
His journey in student leadership began at the university. In 300 Level, he served as an Acting Senator representing the Mechanical Engineering Constituency during the 2022/2023 academic session. This experience strengthened his commitment to responsible leadership, student welfare, accountability, and community service.
Driven by his passion for entrepreneurship and student empowerment, Abdulhafiz later contested and emerged as the Business Director of the Students’ Union Government (SUG), Modibbo Adama University. During his tenure, he focused on creating opportunities for student entrepreneurs and strengthening partnerships between students, the university, businesses, and external organizations.
He pioneered the promotion of student entrepreneurship through initiatives such as the MAU Trade Fair, providing students with opportunities to showcase their businesses, connect with customers, build networks, and develop entrepreneurial skills. Through his office, he also facilitated engagements and partnerships with notable organizations and companies, including Milo, Dahir Curry, and Dufil Prima Foods, among others. These engagements contributed to creating opportunities for students while also supporting revenue generation for the Students’ Union Government and the university community.
Building on his experience in student leadership and entrepreneurship, Abdulhafiz contested for the position of Business Director of the National Union of Adamawa State Students (NUADSS) at the 2026 Convention. He was elected and currently serves as the Business Director, National Union of Adamawa State Students (NUADSS).
Abdulhafiz Abdullateef is passionate about entrepreneurship, innovative leadership, student empowerment, business development, and community impact, with a vision of creating sustainable opportunities for young people and contributing meaningfully to the development of students and society.
